The brand of the Notebook is "Champion" assembled in some where is Detroit Michigan.
In the back it says Model: 258KA5
The problem is that the original hard drive [Toshiba brand IDE type] died suddently. So I tried to install XP on a new hard drive, it goes throgh the usuall process and when it comes to actuall installationl XP, it says there is no Hard-Drive.
I am unable to go beyond this.
This is my Son's Note Book who is a student.
Any help on this will be very much appreciated.
