Access Connections says Radio Off

Thread Starter
I have a 2008-CTO model of the T60p.

It has XP SP2 as the OS.

The wireless card is a Thinkpad mini-PCI 802.11 abg , made originally by Atheros.

Access Connections is v4.41

We have the latest wireless driver, power management driver, and hotkeys per the Lenovo instructions.

The card works fine with Windows XP Wireless. The problem is Access Connections, although it recognizes the card is installed, tells me that the Radio is Off. The radio is most definitely not off.

The help line staff told me to make sure the radio was on, but could not explain how it worked in Windows XP wireless but not Access Connections.

Anyone have any ideas? The last time I saw this was when we had (on a different model) a mis-match between wireless driver & access connections version. That appears to be a sensitive link, but in this case we confirmed all the software that Lenovo lists as key here.

Thanks,
Mike

There is a switch...did you check that?
On my T60p, I'll occasionally try to connect and Access Connection will tell me the wireless radio is turn off, do I want to turn it on? I click YES and I'm connected.
