Been playing Civ IV for awhile at night after work lately and it's got me a bit edgy. The game runs hot, so I turn on Turbo Fans. Problem is, the bottom fan in the L-shaped area doesn't immediately turn on, so it starts beeping and warning me of impending shutdown. I have to raise up the unit and blow on the fan to get it going. Not that big of a deal, but it makes me wonder how long it'll last. Hadn't been playing games, therefore not using Turbo Fan mode so it'd went to the back of my mind for awhile. I'd started an email to Sager in regards to it at work, but got busy and forgot to finish it. Need to get on the ball on that one here pretty quick.Battery
Last week a friend of mine was having internet connection issues, so I took my 8790 over to his place to help troubleshoot. No problems. A few days ago, he'd gotten a new modem and was still having issues, so I went over again w/ the 8790. This time, the battery lasted 5 minutes. If that
. Other than these 2 times, I can't remember the last time this thing wasn't plugged into a power outlet. It's probably been run on battery power less than 10 times since I've had it. Definitely grumpified me, but... what can y'do? So long as the DC-in port doesn't start acting up more, I should be ok.
Gotta love walking on pins and needles hoping one's machine will be ok from one moment to the next
