looks pretty strait forward. decent setup. Warranty?

-hard drive partitioning you can do yourself for free.

integrated GPU's arent teh best i agree, but they do have some advantage points.

No one will buy the integrated GPU on a 17" when you are selling it in few years. Get the dedicated GPU.

Because all family's have video recorders that record in 720p... and by the time "down the line" happens, they will have upgraded 7 times. And if by take advantage, you actually mean HD video playback, then i dont see a Bluray drive configured in his machine. As far as your concerned, yes, i am Mr. Wizard.
