ATI x1100 or GMA x3100

which one is a better graphics card for gaming which will give a decent and playable fps for half-life 2

specwise x3100 is better than x1100 - as far as specific games r concerned u should look direct either into the game's site or gpu manufacturer site for compatibity and game performance

gpu alone would not garantie that certain games r doing good. cpu, ram, hard drive speed play the othe bigger parts as well

anything ATI makes is great.......the ati graphics chipsets wtfpwn intel/nvidia/via

i had an xpress200m 17 inch wxga laptop (keep in mind 17 inch res)

and i played halo, and everquest at native res

very nicely


the x1100 is the replacement for 200 IIRC, so yeah id get it, or go for the x2300 i think is a ded card

i believe u should go for d ati cos i had d x1200 and it was really suprisingly gud for halflife2 at 1280 by 800 resoultion with everything on high except AA & AF
