How does Team Fortress 2 run?

Thread Starter
Firstly, I've been away from this forum for a long while now, so I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I didn't find anything with a search. If there is a thread, please post a link.

I don't have the TF2 beta, but I'm wondering how the game will run on my laptop (see signature) with a 6800 ultra.

If any of you have the TF2 beta, could you let me know how it runs (settings, rates, etc)? Especially if you have a 6800ultra.

I'm excited about playing TF again, but not enough to shell out for the whole orange box.

Thanks in advance.

I get a LOT of crashes. I really dislike it in its current form. Though, I'm sure once it's as stable as something such as CS:S, it'll be fine.

Though, you're gonna have somewhat low/unplayable frame rates with that 6800 Ultra, if you so choose to run it in native 1920x1200.

Ive never played Half Life at all funnily enough as im big into FPS, im about to install Half Life 1 Anthology and if I like it I may get the Orange Box seeing as I have none of the Games already. It seems like a good deal.

I get 38fps on a single 7600GS with only 1GB of RAM and a 3000+ AMD 64. I reckon your 6800U will do as good if not better.
