Thinking About A Barebone S62E

The S62E is one of the latest barebones out of ASUS - it's on the Santa Rosa platform, and when my current Acer lappy craps out, it's something I'm seriously considering.

Any advice or words of wisdom?

All the latest Asus barebones are in the Verified by Intel program, which often means that you'll be able to get the drivers from Intel's website and not from the Asus support site. So if you need a driver, it's a good idea to check Intel first.

Erm...I wasn't asking about where to get drivers, but thanks.
I was asking if anyone's got any advice about whether or not to get the S62E, or whether I should go with another manufacturer.

sorry.. It was the first thing that came to mind.

I haven't read much about the S62E, so I can't tell you about that particular model, but Asus barebones in general tend to be decently well built computers.

u want also to check out MSI (megabook). Like Aus it is quite reliable, so i would go for price/performance comparison

cheers ...
