Nope, no next day shipping but still I thought today would be the day. Better be here tomorrow.

Yeah, I got a call back from my local UPS saying it is rescheduled for tomorrow.

Mine's coming from Purolator (Canada) if that makes any difference which it shouldn't really.

Hm... my order breezed through all the steps and now it's stuck in boxing.

How long does boxing usually take this time around?
I always thought 'Boxing' meant they were shipping it over from Malaysia, so 'boxing' usually takes 3-4 days...

Yeah, thats the general theory. There's a thread on this board somewhere that explains the whole process from order to delivery.

My 700m is in "testing" status for day 5.

WTF???
As for boxing/testing and what not.. those status terms mean nothing. Mine was still "In Production" on Sunday morning before I left to go camping. Came back to today and in my Inbox it said it shipped on monday. So unless they built it... tested it.. and moved it in less then 24 hours... they were farther along then what they said in the Order Status page. So while yours may have said testing for 5 days, it probably didn't even start testing yet.

I don't believe their online order status is necessarily updated or even accurate. I ordered my xps2 on 8/10, it went to testing less than a day later. It was then shipped on 8/14. I didn't even notice the boxing step! Needless to say, I'm a happy camper since I received the lappy yesterday, 8/16!

I'm actually using it right now!

Day 9, and I just got an email from them saying my system is "on hold" still.

I've given up trying to talk to the reps - they just seem to be practicing politeness with every call, in the hope that I'll give them "Excellent marks" on their damned surveys. To date I've been promised an expidited Priority order twice, and been screwed over with the system specs anyway (I don't even want to mention to them that the system isn't what I ordered in case they cancel it like muppets, or worse try to recharge my card lol).

Ordered mine on the 5th...supposed to ship the 16th, was delayed. Now the new "estimated" date is the 23rd. lol, they will probably delay it again, and ill give them hell for it.

Still "on hold" :/

I'm gonna cancel if it's still like this on Friday...

Why does it take a week to "box" my laptop?
There's probably a global shortage of cardboard.

I wouldn't trust their online Orderwatch - my Est. delivery dates have been bouncing around between the 26th and 30th August for the last 3 weeks. Today it's gone into September...

Ordered my on the 16th, delivered on the 22nd

My printer finally came today... ordered on the 4th I believe. Good thing I didn't care about it.

9th and still in Pre-Production according to the web tracker.

CSR has promised me it'll be delivered on the 29th. If it's not I'll be a bit mad (like I'm not already lol).

Now that I think about it, it might be my printer that is slowing this down, it is still in pre production. I wish they would ship the printer seperate, because I really don't care too much about it, they can ship it anytime. I wonder if I should bother calling them up to ask if they could ship it later

They shipped my printer seperately. I ordered on the 10th, as of the 24th, it's still in production. Despite the fact that when I built the same system online on the 11th, I got a prelim ship date of the 23rd. Grrr...I got the printer four days later though.

I dunno, last I called them I got through to a supervisor and asked why my system was taking so long. He said he didn't have that kind of information - all they see on their screens is an estimated ship date, like us.

If I knew what part they were waiting for I'd probably consider dropping or chaging it - i.e. a different CPU (I chose the 780).

It's kinda funny now cause they're promising compensation after I've received my system, and promised it'll be delivered on the 29th (even though today Orderwatch says Pre-Production still).

I'll be pretty damned suprised if it turns up on the 29th as that's a public holiday (UK Bank Holiday). The compensation better be damned good...
