XPS M170 "Order on Hold"I ordered an XPS M170 on 11-21-05 and the status was still under "ordering processing." Then I got an email from Dell on 11-26-05 stating "Your order has been processed, but, unfortunately your information did not come through on the online tool and we need to ask you for it again, in order to get the financing piece processed and finalized."
I applied for the 18 months same as cash online and my confirmation email said I was approved. So why did they wait almost a week to say that they didn't have all the info they need? Beats me. Then they go on to say "Your order will remain on hold for 3 days from today's date and then it will automatically cancel. If it cancels before we get the financing completed, please contact us and we will be able to reinstate it with the same pricing and promotions. (Rebates from the first order, however, since they are tied in to the order date, will not apply to your second order.)"
I used a 30% EPP coupon in additon to the 12% EPP discount, so I don't know if this has anything to do with this run-around from Dell. Frankly, I really don't care if they cancel my order or not, becasue the XPS M170 has already dropped $200 since I placed my order, not to mention that they are now throwing in a free DJ Ditty. I know there will be more 30% coupons, especially after the holidays.
