After ordering my E1505 on the morning of April 7th, I got my laptop today, April 13th, only 7 days after ordering it. I'm pretty impressed, but after reading the thread about how their supply chain works, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I ordered my E1705 4/22. Today, 4/24, it's in boxing. The shipping date shows 6/27. I sure hope they are just giving themselves a huge cusion.

update!!

Looks like the June 27th estimated ship date was just giving them some leeway. My new lappy shows to be in transit as of 11:43 this morning.
By my addition, that's 4 days from ordered to "in transit". Also, mine has the 7800go in it. I'm pretty stoked.

I ordered my Inspiron 710m on April 14 and the expected ship date is in August. I bought it for college, and if I get it when they say I will I will have already gone off to school
post #974 of 1048
wtf... AUGUST???? why so long period bro
Don't know, I chatted with the customer service folk and all they could tell me is that the estimated ship date is August 23 and that it is dependant on the time of ordering and the availability of the components. I guess I'm gonna just have to wait...
i reckon thats bs, cos i read in a post, of how dells are made, where dell has around 30 supplies, where they can always meet supply and demand!; where like every 2 hours aprts are shipped out from all dell suppliers.....

How do you know which stage is in? Mines in the "In Production" stage and I don't see any checkmarks here or anything. How can you tell?
