RAZR2 and Mac syncing

Well my RAZR v3 met with an untimely demise and I was eligable to go through the upgrade process for a new phone. I got the ATT version of the RAZR2 V9 and love the phone. And yes I even like the colour (looks at Kakaze)!

I know that it is not supported by iSync yet but was wondering if anyone knows of 3rd party software to sync the address book and calendar? I have tried Motorola Phonetools and I must say it blows goats. Worst software ever.

I have tried searching but so far I have been coming up short. But it a new phone, but one can wish :P

Did a little more searching and got Motorola Phone Tools to work a little. When I procured a disc it was version 4.5 which motorola's website claimed would work with the RAZR2 V9, but it only recognized it as a generic phone. So I called Motorola and they said that the RAZR2 required a special version of phonetools and I would need to buy another disc as they do not offer downloads. I wasn't about to spend another $30 on the software so again I searched again and found that the update feature hidden in the Motorola folder would update the software I need to get it to sync with the RAZR2. So a feature Motorola either didn't know about or didn't want their customers to know about eh?

Well playing around with the phonetools I see some short-comings with the software. Like I can only set calendar times by whole or half hours. Some of my classes do not fall within those time slots. I know its not the end of the world but that is annoying (Example only 3:00 or 3:30 pm, no 3:35 pm). But I can use Outlook to sync if I configure the software to do so. I may try that, I don't like having to keep two calendars up but its better than not having my calendar with me.

Until then I anxiously wait until iSync is compatible with the RAZR2 V9.

--EDIT--

I am also looking to see when Vaja Cases has a leather case availible for the RAZR2

Shit, if they told me I had to buy another disk I would've laughed in their face and demanded they send me a new one.

I was in the same predicament. Luckily I have BlueTooth enabled on my computer. If you want you can Export contacts or calendars onto your desktop. Open BT and "Browse Device" this will bring up a buncha different folders. Send those two files to 'extended memory' or anyother you seem fit. Open them by browsing through the files on the RAZR2 and they will open/ laod. Im not 100% about the calendar but its worth a try
