Inspiron 9300 HDD problems

Hey, My Beast's 80 gig 5400 rpm HDD is on its last legs, and I was wondering what Hard Drives are available for me to replace my old one. I will definitely be looking to upgrade.

Cheers for the help people, as I know nothing about this matter.

Any that don't use SATA, but rather the 2.5" version of IDE.

check the pins on the back of the HD. These pins will tell you wat type it is

You definitely need an IDE Hard Drive (ATA-6). The biggest you can get is 250GB 5400rpm drive with price around $180. However it depends what you prefer. I personally bought 100GB 7200rpm Seagate drive for my Inspiron 9300 and I'm more than satisfied with faster transfer speed. It's on you

I bought that one on eBay. It cost me around $95 and it was a brand new sealed drive. Or you can get one from newegg for $110.

9300's started with pata drives, but then switched to sata drives. Run belarc advisor to find out which you have. The 250gb WD hard drive is reported to be faster than the 100gb 7200rpm drives - a google search will show you the reviews. If you can afford it, it's a good deal.

How can I tell from Belarc? I have the page of information it gave me.
