I see HP still has poor'quality control'...

So I decided to take the leap ONCE AGAIN and purchase one of these pretty HP notebooks (this time a DV6500t). Just like last year at this time, the notebook does NOT sit flat on a table, it wobbles! The rubber feet on the bottom of the machine do not all sit/touch the surface that the notebook is sitting on. So when you lay your wrists down on the machine to type, the notebook wobbles up and down.

The machine has been sent back to HP! I don't understand why I continue to have such horrible experiences with HP? I NEVER have these problems with any other company. Either I'm too picky, HP's machines are all like this and nobody seems to care OR I just have extremely bad luck with HP!

I'm not sure what it is. Their customer service has also gone WAY down hill too! I see the only people left in the USA are sales (surprise there right?), anything else is in India now where you can't understand a word anyone is saying.

I decided to try ONE MORE TIME, YET AGAIN, this time buying a CTO DV9500t (I wanted a better screen anyways then you are given on the 15.4" models) so I decided to get the 17" model since I was sending the other back.

I'm not keeping my fingers crossed...

Sorry to hear about your bad experience; I have personally not seen a warped laptop case. I hope that HP makes things right.

Keep us posted!

The thought of the bottom being warped didn't even cross my mind! Nothing looked warped, everything was perfectly flush, etc...trust me I examine electronics VERY closely when I buy them, I saw nothing to indicate that anything was warped. So are you saying that if not all of the rubber feet are touching whatever the notebook is sitting on (flat surface of course) then the bottom MUST be warped somewhere? If so then they are pushing out a lot of warped plastic! I do remember last year that some door compartment pieces from a DV5000 that I ordered were warped and wouldn't lay right so I had to send that back too! Not sure what HP's problem is but I don't think a lot of 'techy people' buy these machines because if they did, surely there would be more then me bitching about it.

Well I received my DV9500T the other day after the huge delay in shipment and just as I thought, it came defective! The first thing I did was take the notebook out, unwrapped it and sat it down on my desk. The front right rubber bumber/foot was not touching the desk, like all 3 other feet were! Then I open up the screen lid and the front left foot also comes up off the desk! So now only two feet are touching the desk (the 2 rear feet)! Their build quality is just unacceptable and I will definitely NEVER buy another HP again. I just don't understand how they can be building 2 and 3 thousand dollar computers and letting them leave the factory in such poor condition.

I went back to Dell, ordered a Vostro and 2 days later it has already shipped...compared to waiting almost 2 weeks for HP to build a computer!
