Summery:
I want to play games like CounterStrike: Source.
Status: Lags alot
Computer: XPS M140
Computer Stats:

OK. So last ..June I believe, (with the help of some hints and tips from this forum) I bought my only computer , XPS M140 . I'm sure you guys are experts and I dont have to explain to you what it really is..But I bought it a few weeks after it was discontinued from Dell (to introduce the new line of XPS notebooks..1200..etc)

details:

[See picture up]

Intel Pentium D Processor (I believe)
1GB Ram
55GB HD + 17GB ("backup") HD.
CD/DVD Burner
14.1" TrueLife screen
(was around $750+shipping)

Oh! almost forgot, it came with a 9-cell battery that I just got a warning about.."battery dieing..blablabla...will still function blablabla"

So, I want to be able to play some decent PC games on this computer..lets say BioShock..etc
I am not certain what the graphics card is, nor do I know anything about GPUs..

What can I do?

Intel 915GM graphics chip shares up to 128MB of main memory so most of the more graphically intensive games will either just not run or run so poorly to make them unplayable. Not much you can do to change that either unless they finally come out with the external expresscard graphics systems they have been touting.

So..From what I understand , and from my "mini - research" I figured that its a fixed graphics card, and I cant upgrade it, Thus, I have to buy a New computer . By the way, I'm doing this because I was trying to play Counter Strike Source, It works, its just laggy, (no not server sided..)

yeah, you will have to buy a new computer to get improved cs:s performance; you can usually get a good deal on used laptops on the fs/ft forums on this site, and you could sell yours there too.

you can use this to help you find out what games would run on your laptop...
