Car/auto laptop mount..?

Thread Starter
Does anyone know of a good car laptop mount that is not overly priced? I see some good ones out there but the $300+ price seemsrather unreasonable for some metal piping.

Im looking for something that that does not require drilling, and can be bolted on (generally to the car seat bolt) and has flexable positioning, meaning it can go up and down/left and right/in and out That way viewing would not be restricted to just the driver and can be moved to allow passenger viewing. Lastly sturdyness.

Any recommendations, experience would be greatly appreciated Very Happy

Jotto Desk drill-less install decent price. You aren't paying for piping. The desks are designed to absorb some of the vibrational shock the laptop would recieve if it was just piping.

I got mine from

http://www.autolaptoplinkinc.com

They make a good stand, but they are SLOOOOOOOOW and do not return phone calls. However, I guess my order was delayed because they ran out of their little plastic knobs. I think mine was roughly $100. Also, mute your speakers because they have that uber annoying sitepal.

If you get a stand from autolaptoplinkinc, I suggest you bolt the thing to the floor bolt for your seat. It's not permanent, and is EXTREMELY secure since the weight of your seat holds it down. Unfortunately alot of vehicles are like my Explorer and have front seat bolts that are parallel to the floor rather than perpendicular. The clamp works fine otherwise. I'm just glad my F250 Superduty has vertical bolts for the middle seat.

I'll take some pics of my stand mounted in my Crown Vic.

I have the home version and it is amazing. They are a little on the expensive side but very good build quality and solid as a rock.
