m9750 'Phase Watching' starts

Well I figured I'd post a thread about how my m9750 build is going.
I ordered with Finance (using student loan) on Tue, 2 Oct 2007.
I had to send the finance forms during the Royal Mail strike so that took a little longer.

My estimated dispatch date was about 15th November as there was supposedly a 28 day wait for the WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 LCD.

I got an email from the finance folk to say that they'd got my signed declaration on Friday 5th and that they have notified Alienware.

Phase Situation

Phase 1: Tue, 2 Oct 2007
Phase 2: Mon, 8 Oct 2007
Phase 3: Mon, 8 Oct 2007 / Wed, 24 Oct 2007
Phase 4: Mon, 8 Oct 2007 / Wed, 24 Oct 2007
Phase 5: Wed, 24 Oct 2007
Phase 6: Thurs, 25 Oct 2007
Phase 7: Thurs, 25 Oct 2007
Phase 8: Thurs, 25 Oct 2007
Phase 9: Thurs, 25 Oct 2007
LANDED: Mon, 29 Oct 2007

Roll on 15th Nov if it doesn't come before..

Supposedly the only thing they are waiting for is the 7950GTX, so I'm assuming they have the WideUXGA Screen.

Emailed them for an update about 10 o'clock last night and got a reply at 9:37 this morning.

E-dirt I checked out that link and there don't seem to be any m9750s?

Anyway, I seem to have dropped back to phase 3 today

EDIT: Just checked again and I'm in Phase 5

Well, I'm not entirely sure how quickly Alienware can do the quality control checks but I'm now on Phase 9 (shipped).

So, Phase 6 - 9 in the same day

sometimes they dont update the system everyday so your system could have been done with phase 6 and phase7 on wednesday...

It came this morning
2 weeks before the estimated ship date.

I'll probably post some more about it once I've used it more and lived with it for a period of time (uni etc).

your keyboard is different from mine... my enter button is not shaped that way..and your keys are not in the same place as mine either which is weird...
