Nice results! This is on your personal system ? I thought the 8800GTXs wouldn't ship before Feb 20... About Crysis, is it all high or Very high ? And the resolution is 1920x1200 ?
Crysis is on High settings.. All score are at 1920x1200.

hey zyb, i can get that on my single 7900 gtx

with a autoexec file like you

my roommate has SLI 8800 ULTRA's and they don't even get that much at that RES in cryisis without a tweaked autoexec.

*cough--bullshit--cough*

He's on high, not ultra high. I think it makes sense.

Can you get an average of 34 fps at High Settings, that means High Shaders and High Post Processing too and in 1920x1200 with your 7900GTX? Yeah show me that and I´ll believe you without any modified config.

By the way Zyb impressive scores there, Call of Duty 4 especially and of course Crysis. Now I will get two of these for my M1730 and overclock them too, this will one hell of a killer notebook

Can you run Colin McRae Dirt too and Lost Planet, Medal of Honor Airborne?

With my 8700m GT in SLI overclocked to 755/1620/900

Dirt at 1680x1050 30-35 fps on the single tracks haven´t tested multiple races yet.

Test Drive Unlimited 1680x1050 HDR on, High settings I run at 35-40 fps.

Medal of Honor Airborne at 1920x1200 all settings Maxed I get between 40-50 fps

Lost Planet runs great with DX10 shaders and set at 1680x1050 with most options maxed except HDR set to Medium and two other options set to Medium and with 8xAF, In the benchmarking in the game I get an average of 34.6 in the Snow level, not bad at all since it is the Demo too. The full game was better optimized, will try the full game soon

Oblivion 1920x1200 maxed settings Qarl´s Texture Mod 2, various other enhancement mods riding outside on the horse I get 35-40+ fps.

If you can try these games I benchmarked here, would be nice to compare. As it is now my 8700m GT in SLI where SLI really works runs really great as you can see from above benchmarks.

It´s amazing how much you can overclock 8700m GT without any artifacting and without the temp ramping up, the cooling in the M1730 is actually really good and cools down the cards really quick. I hope when I get my 8800m GTX in SLI that I can overclock those quite high too

lol you fried your GTX trying to outshine the 8700's?
That was the most hilarious I have ever read, fried a card just to outshine the 8700m GT. Well I guess you don´t outshine the 8700m GT in Lost Planet, that´s for sure

How high did you overclock it by the way? I think I said in another thread on notebookreview that there were a big risk frying your Memory overclocking it too high, I assume that is what happened. Actually seems like there is lots of fried 7900gs, 7900GTX there might be the memory that is bad actually.

On the other hand you must have had lots of artifacting in ATI tool running those clocks.

I didn't do it to beat the shit out of a 8700.

beat the shit out of them many times before.

then I booted into vista.

then my card died.

oh well, i thru in my fx2500 and am going to get a fx3500
post #470 of 494
i overclocked it by editing the BIOS.

I added a 50mhz geometric delta shader clock and had it clocked at 650/750.

as I have my fx2500 right now.

Idles @ 48 and peaks at 90 +/-

Just get a M1730 with 8800 SLI on it.

I'm sure you can get it under 2.5-3k if you look hard enough.

I know. I could easly save but every 2 weeks I drop 500-600 on this m1710.

I will eventually get an m1730.

but My laptop is skuuukem right now.

I got 3 gigs of ram t7600 proc 500gb raid 0 config in my m1710 with a 70gb boot/dynamic partition. that prfxxeforms 1/3 more quick easily.

I also have a externa, slim-line HD DVD player and a Slim-line Blu ray burner.

I luv my machine soo soo much..

I just ordered an fx3500m off of ebay for 340 +35 shipped.

i got dinged on the freight. my choice cuz I like things here fast.
don't like to wait)

my second project is to put the fx 2500 in my e1705 chassis that I have still.

I just need an heatsinik for the processor and a hindge cover / screen/inverter/cable.

then I have 2 lappies. I like these babies.

I also would like to get a m6300 cuz they most likely will have te fx3600 out. hopefully soon.

but it will come.

Also ATI is making a new card called the HD3800m maybe they will jump back in.

I just luve spending money on parts for my baby.

I now have a x1400 a 7900gtx *dead, 7900gs *dead, fx2500, and fx3500. hope it has HDCP. then i won't have to fux around with drivers to get blu ray working properly.

No,never, only when playing the game, then trying to change some settings and applying the changes, doesn't do it with all changes, only some like grass shadows.

No big deal really, just have to save the game and exit to the main CP and change, then all is well
