I'm really glad to hear that it was found. So often these situations turn out bad for the customer and they wind up bashing the company, but your outcome restores faith in the system. Congrats once again.

ok, just back from my business trip and brief holiday in Jamaica

Stayed at Hedonism 2 - WOW!!! What a place!

I shall give AW UK a call tomorrow to get my 7700 back home.

I also need to call AW USA tomorrow to see if they are EVER going to send me my Vista Operating System Disc(been waiting almost 5 months now). Every month now I get told they are dealing with this issue. They have completely ignored my last 2 emails now, so a phone call is needed.

Man I love the hardware, but their people really annoy me sometimes.....

Ok, 7700 has been tested and is in good order according to AWUK. They are sending it to me tomorrow

I also received info from AW USA that they are sending me my missing Vista Ultimate DVD.

So, by the end of the week all my problems will be solved!! YAY AW!!!!

I received my 7700 today in good working order BUT the 7800GTX module they sent me does not appear to be the correct module for this notebook. I have attached some photo's. Please could somebody have a look and confirm this for me.

I have also sent these to AWUK to confirm.

Anyway, it's good to have my 7700 home again

This was a very unique situation, my only concern now that I'm not living in Europe anymore, shipping costs are now my problem.

I've already paid almost $400 in shipping and taxes just to get the WRONG DAMN CARD!!!

Ok, it took a week to get back to me, but it's great news! They are going to send me a new 7800GTX for my 7700, plus they are going to cover the shipping expenses both ways.

Under normal circumstances, because I moved from Europe, I would be responsible for shipping.

Alienware has come through for me AGAIN! Now I wish I could change the thread title to OH YEAH!!!

A little patience always goes a long way...
