hey, i have lomewire on my old emac, use it for my dirty work hehe. but i was wondering if i could transfer JUST the new songs i have from my emac to my macbook via firewire.

um... are you looking for a solution that will select only the new songs and transfer them?

Or are you asking if it is technically possible?

i just want to be able to transfer specific files over the fire wire. i remember when i got my macbook i transfered stuff but i didnt get to choose

Hook them up over Firewire, then turn off the emac and restart it holding down T. This should boot into Target disk mode. Then on your MacBook you can peruse the emac's hard drive like it was an external. Choose the files as you wish.
