Dell Vostro 1500 Deals

I've been look at a vostro 1500 with core duo and 8600 GT for under $700 for a while now w8ing for a good deal to spring up...i know a lot of u guyz have experience with dell so i just wanna ask this...does the holiday season bring about major discounts for Dell SB or just home? If so then when are the best deals out around??

I just got a vostro 1500 with
1.6ghz
The best screen
1gig (2 dimms) of ram
160gig 5400rpm HDD
Geforce 8600m GT
9 cell battery
Dell 1390 wifi
Vista Basic
and 2 years accidental
for $1035 taxed and shipped, infact I am in the process of making an XP boot disk to wipe off vista and the 2 gigs or ram will be here by monday.

Gotta love Dell Outlet, I figured I could always upgrade the 1.6 later in the life, besides, this was a laptop for my wife.

soooo, if you don't drop things, - 200 for the 2 year warrenty, and look for one with either less upgrades. some 128mb vostros were going for $500.

Have you never used a dell before? lol after a year I can almost guarantee that warranty will come in handy!
