Hi guys. Can someone help me how to remove the Empowering Technology application from windows start up programs? I tried configuring it from msconfig to no avail. Thanks.

I removed the Empowering technology software since it never seemed to work for more than a few days and then required a restore to get rid of error messages and to get it to work again.. I wonder what software people are using to provide similar functions to The Empowering software while working better.

I have got along well for 8 months with out any Acer E software and have not required any restore or recovery of the hard drive since i got rid of the Acer software. I am still running XP cause I have seen problems with Vista on wife's's laptop and on a new desktop with Vista.

I have uninnstalled it, and Im using only Vista features for notebooks. Notebook works better and it starts faster too.

Or you can disable startup of the empowering twchnology with Autoruns. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb963902.aspx
