hi every1... I¡ve been several weeks diving in the web searching for de OCHI SATA drivers for my Toshiba A205-5851 on the F6 screen installing winxp... and finaly find a guy that posted what he found. here is the link :

download the file, export the content of the folder INTEL to a floppy (or the nlite folder for drivers.. I didn't use this cuz I have a USB floppy drive) and after boot from the XP cd and pressinf F6... at the time to select the conrrespondig driver, choose the third one... the rest is history...

znx to phyro111!!!!...

hope it works for all as it did for me...

I've downloaded some driver, but I'm not sure if I got the complete set, beacause I didn't try to instal XP in my system yet.
I'm looking for the original Toshiba Vista Recovery CD, do you have it ?

If so, please share it... my notebook can't initialize any more, it is showing a "stop code" (c000021a) and I can't get over it.
Unfortunatelly my notebook came with no discs. And I didn't make any system backup while it was working fine.

If you do have the CD, please share !!!

Sorry man... I don't have the original Toshiba CD... also deleted the image from the HDD, so.. it's not teher anymore. Good luck searching and finding... bye Dan

Hello. I am brand new to this site and am I ever glad that I found it. This thread has been a great help. I purchased a Satellite A215 S7437 and "I HATE VISTA" Whewww, now thtat I got that off my chestI feel better. :-)
I have downloaded the drivers fromthe megauload site and have read all of the posts in this thread.

I have purchased a full version of XP Pro SP2 and was wondering what was the best process to take. I have thought of completly wiping my drive, reformating it and then doing a new install. If I have the drivers on my thumb drive, will I be able to install the drivers from there, or should I burn them to a CD?

If you dont have recovery disks made for it, make them before you reformat the drive and install XP....just incase you want to return it to out of the box specs before you sell it or change your mind about XP...If you reformat the drive it will be too late...Seen too many people change their minds for one reason or another, then want to go back to "out of the box" and have no recovery cd's
