Problem with charging on HP DV9500

I've already sent it into HP for service, but it wasn't fixed. All they did restore the system.

The problem is when plugging the power into the power slot, it doesn't "click in"...it feels loose. Consequently, the power disconnects intermittently and I would have to wiggle the cord until the blue indicator light turns on. Unfotunately, this doesn't work all the time.

Anyone else have this problem?

PS...on the slip they sent back w/ the laptop there's one section they state "This type of AC jack is not designed to be a tight structure"

The thing is when I went to Office Depot...i found the same laptop (very similar) to mine (except, it's AMD processor) and when I tested the AC jack, it clicks into the laptop.

Yup, just complain and tell them you need the computer for work/school, that tech support is inept, you dont feel like sending it in for another month to get fixed, and you dont trust what tech support has already done to the machine. Then ask them to have a case manager call you back. Take up these same complaints with the case manager and you should soon see a replacement in your hands.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up sending it back a second time and this time I sent the power adapter. It turns out the adapter was broken and they replaced it. So, all is good now. Thanks again.
