Missing Line In on Fujitsu P1610 - help!

I've searched the forums here, but found no reference to this.

I really need help with this one. I record a podcast from a mixing board, and on my previous notebooks, I'd use the "line in / microphone in" jack to get the music into Audacity on my computer.

On my P1610, even though it has a mic/line in jack, there's no option available in the sigmatel-controlled audio properties for line in. Just microphone (built in) in, that's it.

Using Sigmatel 5.10.4946.1 driver, etc etc. Win XP Tablet PC edition, all latest updates, etc.

Can someone help me to figure out how to enable the line in jack?

the line-in/micorphone under playback properties of the audio device should work with audacity

No, tried that. The problem is, as far as my computer is concerned (ie, control panel, system tools, audio controls, volume controls, Audacity, etc etc, the line in doesn't seem to exist.

I'm hoping it's a driver issue with Sigmatel, or something in the Bios (I've been through it top to bottom though, no turn on / turn off for line in), or some ini setting or registry setting I can change.

Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone run into this problem with sigmatel and / or P1610s?

how about trying it with the realtek ac97 driver?
