I use an imate pda2 with an old imate pocket pc as a backup.

Its used for mobile email/internet,phone,sms,note taking on phatpad and an engineering program for trigonometry, calcs, plus I find the camera pretty useful for quick snaps of things.....sometimes I use it to listen to music and for showing funny vids off the internet to workmates.

I love these all in one devices,if it was just a pda,I doubt I would use it....they are quite fragile though, and have rooted quite a few of them.

I'm actually eyeing up another one at the moment,an O2 XDA flame which has a 3.6" vga screen,GPU,tv out, better camera,3G blah blah blah, but have spent a bit too much money on toys lately and will probably wait a bit.
I can't stand most of the newer pda/phones with their silly sub 3 inch screens....it sort of defeats the purpose of using one over a normal phone,a couple of people at work have nokia N95's which are an awesome device, but have a screen thats too small and dont have screen qwerty keyboard, only a normal T9 type KB which takes me about half an hour to write a sentence.

wel my phone is a Samsung A920 (Sprint) I use it for highspeed wireless on the road ( pair it to my computer with BT) It's got a 1.3 megapixel camera which is more than enough for me for a phone camera lol.

I have a cingular 8525 smart phone.

WM6, touch screen, push email for gmail and whatever else I want. TXT, power point, mobile office, video, music, phone, lotts of browsing with 3g and wifi. 2mp camera, windows media player, errrrrr... almost anything you can do on a computer, it can do. I even overclocked it alittle bit.

I love my phone. It's my computer away from home. You'll see me posting from it during the evening while I'm at work.

I had a PDA (palm) years ago. It broke some days after the warranty and I was so pissed that I hate PDAs and everything-Palm to this very day! Served me well while it lasted though...

Just got handed a Sprint Mogul for testing. Love being lost with what the hell to use something I see as more a toy than a tool.

You don't like it?

I installed a modded rom to WM6, included alot of nice features and programs and reg hacks, speed hacks. About 5 months ago? I love it.

It's not a matter of don't like so much a matter of how best to use it. I see I can look at spreadsheets on it but most of the spreadsheets I use are 20 columns by 2 thousand rows so that makes it painful. I guess the real problem is I'm TOO computer centric. If it doesn't do the job aswell as I usually return to the REAL thing.

I recently got the Sprint Centro, at $99 it's a steal. Even just for the updated versions of docs-to-go, pocket tunes and a few other programs over my old Treo 650.

But yeah, I gotta agree on the whole "doing the job as well" which is why I got an OQO. Centro takes care of email / messaging / listening to music / things that I want to do while walking down the street. I use the OQO for everything else (like writing this post) minus video games and working up large documents. I almost always have both on me, OQO in the pants pocket, Centro in the jacket pocket. Both have EV-DO service through Sprint via a stupid-cheap SERO plan

Bytheby, for anyone interested in an UMPC, OQO's are garbage. Get something like a Sony UX instead.

I have had my new O2 XDA Flame for a couple of weeks now and lovin it,640x480 3.6" VGA screen is something to behold, don't know about the goforce 5500 that they make a big deal about though, nothing seems to have native hardware support for it apart from a few demo games that you can't download anywhere.
