Blank Screen Troubleshooting

Thread Starter
I have an IBM Thinkpad 2366 with a blank screen on start up.

So far, if I remove all the memory. I get 1-3-3-1 beep. Does that mean the CPU, and motherboard are fine since they are recognizing lack of memory? I have two dimms and I checked each one without any change. I can hear the fan and hard drive spinning at start. I suspect the hard drive is fine. Unfortunately, I don't get an image if I connect via VGA or S Video. Also, I don't get any sound.

On my way to pickup a laptop to PC ide connector to pull off files while I wait for responses.

Let me know what you suspect and any ways I can test it.

Thanks!
