Inspiron 9300 freezes, charge socket on mainboard faulty? 7950GTX with Inspiron 9300?

Cheers.

I used to read many things on this board and it helped me to mod my I9300.
But Ive got a problem now and so I thought why not trying to find some help here
Got the I9300 for about half a year right now. Most of the time its on the plate, sometimes its in my bed with me if no other human being could join me there right now

Anyway, Ive just been to berlin where the problem startet to occure. I did nothing special there, just browsing the net while it was connected to the power supply and moved the laptop from my lap to the table and backwards.

Now, back at home, its like that: If I move the Notebook (like carrying it on the balcony), or just move the connector of the PA-13 power adapter, the Laptop
a) freezes while the hdd led glows (most of the time)
b) reboots (if you keep on moving the connector, the booting freezes)
c) just went of (happened 1-3 times)
The same things will happen if you are in battery mode and connect plug in the connector.
But: If the connector at the Laptop is plugged in and you unplug and replug the power supply from the wall socket, everything is fine, no freezings, etc.

So has it got to be charge socket on the mainboard?
If so, how could this happen after 1/2 year? I mean, I didnt play with it at anytime.
As quoted, 6 of 7 days the laptop is on the table.
And why does the HDD led glows up?
It was definatly not in use before it freezed Could I get replacement part in Germany? I think I could repair it on my own if its not that tricky. But it shouldnt go off in flames after connecting the power supply.

Do you think its profitable?
(I am thinking of getting an I9400 mainboard and fitting it in)
(additional question: Could I use a 7950GTX on an I 9300 mainboard? (thats the main reason for buying the other MB)
If not, why not?
I mean, what could/would happen? The measurements should be the same.
Could I destroy anything?
Many thanks!

You cannot use a 7950gtx on i9300 motherboard; the i9300 bios does not support it so it will not post, though it does physically fit.

It wont be possible to flash an i9400 bios because it uses a different chipset, correct?

There was a thread a while back about getting the 7900gtx to fit in teh older M170/9300 systems. The crad will physically fit, but no none has been able to unlock the bois to support this card. I believe there was some money rounded up too. And still no one was able to make it work.

Bro the I9300 is a piece of crap, Ive had it for about a year and all its been is problem after problem. It worked fine for a few months and then the keyboard got screwed up, the sound card and the charger. So I ordered a bunch of parts and fixed all that. and now I have the same problem as you, except my laptop doesnt even CHARGE anymore!?!

Im about to throw it out and buy a macbook pro or soemthing.
