The best option is the one that the person with the money likes the most.

He would probably be more than satisfied with either and each has its pros and cons.

Well the person buying the computer doesn't knoow anything about computers. At all.... He just read he could play games and knows if he spends a shit load of money it has to be ok, but is it his best choice...

Desktops will still be better bang for buck. Laptops your choices revolve around the triangle. You have 6 points to put in three catagories. The catagories are Portability, Performance, and Price. So for example I want raw power so I put 6 points in performance cause I don't care about anything else. Honestly at that point get a desktop. Cause I've just said I don't care about portable or price.

Try this aswell

Looking for a new notebook? Take a look here first.

Go for sagers and clevos! They have 7950GTX in sli also and it could be cheaper than alienwares.

If hes gona spend 3G's.........Like the others said, the AW or Dell has its ups and downs. Both offer lots of power, but are generally perceived as DTR's (Desktop Replacements).

The Alienware just came out with the 8700 GT's but the GTX's are coming out end of this month
