8887 shuts off

Whenever i play a game exit than go back into the game again my 8887 blue screens and reboots. I have win xp home any suggestions? It happens with just about all games. I just purchased command and conquer generals and it does it also.

I would reinstall the video drivers. If that doesn't do it, it may be DirectX and the best way to get a fresh install of DirectX is a forumat IMO.

I reinstalled the drivers and still does the blue screen. What does this mean: best way to get a fresh install of DirectX is a forumat IMO.

That means that DirectX is so intertwined in your system, there is really no "clean" way to uninstall it, short of re-formatting and re-installing everything *but* DirectX.

DirectX: you either love it or hate it.
