Whats all the arguing over Moms sliverware

The 8800M will come out with the new Die Shrunk G9x series GPU's
I assume the 8800GT desktop version will be the first probably followed by others.
I also assume that we'll see the 8900 GT(x)(s) desktop GPU make an appearance.
The rush will be on for nVidia to get all this sorted before the Xmas rush.
So there is chance the new GPU's will make a quick appearance with Xmas looming.
No doubt a big premium will be paid for these new powerhouses.

There was no 8800M with the current die size, probably due to very high drain on the battery and the heat issues this causes.
Can be veru expensive to have recalls of batteries that might get over heated due to a large power drain.
Also needing 150w+ power adaptors (like Sager 9890) can't be pretty either.

Those are my thoughts, I'd better go and keep polishing my Moms silverware.

they should really make the heatsinks out of diamond

I bow to your superior intellect, it's obvious I cannot comprehend your highly technical discussion on thermodynamics. I am in such awe that all I can do is sit back and & hope that one day I can reach your level of understanding & make more than $5.50/hr.

Maybe then I can buy me a putah. Until then I'll have to play with my Leap Pad

Its cute how you make petty jabs and shun off arguements with pathetic one-liners instead of a sensible arguement or debate. It only further proves your inability to discuss the subject matter, and further supports what ive said. Good luck on the pay raise though.

How about this one liner:

Say something sensible and I may just do that, heh...

(prepares for the inevitable quote/insult)

Oh the irony...either way your petty jabs and insults dont bother me. In the end, your still the only one who doesnt comprehend it. Keep them coming, keep tossing them up on the pile

post #25, 26. nuff said. If you honestly believe that the current draw & heat have nothing in common, you are absolutely right, I don't have anything else to say because it's so absurd.

you keep quoting me and calling me names... I don't understand your obsession. If you don't like my comments well, there is no need to quote & say sometihng insulting, knowing good & well that you are going to get a response if you do.

Why don't you send me a PM so this thread can move along?

Come on guys, there is no need for this bickering.
We each have our own ideas and thoughts why the forums are here for in the first place.
Lets get on with getting on, and get back on track here.

You 2 can start your own thread somewhere else and call each other names there.
It would be a very heated discussion on how to get rid of the heat that was caused by the name calling about what causes heat

Yeah I really hope nVidia does something, it's silly that they have pretty much ignored the issue up until now.. It would be nice to have some drivers to go with a sweet 8800 SLi setup.

If you think thats what i mean, then theres really no other way to say this: Your reading comprehension skills are far too poor to stay up with a discussion such as this.

Since you clearly cant read in context, or understand the simpler, commonly known aspects, i guess ill have to spell it out for you. Its the heat they produce (the engineering hurdle i was initially referring to), NOT the power requirements. It isnt hard for them to feed the laptop enough power, the power isnt the issue at all, they could feed it 1000 watts if they want to, but they sure as hell wont be dissapating that much energy in the form of heat, in the confines of current laptops. I would have thought anyone reading this with intent to respond would understand the issue far enough, guess i was wrong. Excuse me for assuming your reading comprehension and ability to read in context, (much less understand its common knowledge that they can feed as much power into a laptop as they can get out of a wall outlet) was of a higher order, my mistake.

Its not so much that i dislike your comments, just that they are misinterpreted and incorrect, and when your given information to contradict what you say, you simply shove it off and attempt to ignore it with petty one liners instead of engaging an intelligent discussion, which you have already shown yourself to be incapable of. BTW, no obsession here, but i wont sit here and let you trash talk me and accuse me of faulty logic, especially not with out any valid arguement to back it up.

You want to take this to PM's so this thread can continue on it's merry way?

If you don't please feel free to continue quoting & making insults, it's quite nice to see that any point you try to make is completely overwhelmed by your continued need to insult me lol.

Take them as you will, but again, you shove aside the arguements at hand. I await a well thought out response, and until then, i wont be responding to you.

Can we get back to the discussion at hand plaese. This staretd out a very informative thread as to why maybe the 8800m is not in the Beast as of yet.

I also strongly feel that the launch of the new 8800 gt will bring a new card for the M1730. From what I have read over on Nvnews the benchies of the new die shrink are quite impressive considering the estimated cost of the card. I just hope this decrease in cost get translated over to the m1730. I am still on the fence about pulling the trigger on one.

Well, being a weekend I am sure the mods are out doing something constructive. I will say though, the name calling and flames need to disappear like NOW, or the thread will get locked. Keep the rest of the posts on topic and proceed please.
