People who ordered a conspericy blue laptop and did not recieve it yet or are still in phases i have information.

My dad called AW and said he is sick of the lieing BLAH BLAH BLAH. "all of the blue laptops have mobo problems and are slow preformers, so the build might take longer." that is the offical word from AW. 11 more days! YAY!.

I asssure you the blues laptops are just as good as any of the other mine works great. The fact that the laptop is blue makes no difference.

Just what Braingoo said.

All the motherboards on that model of Laptop are the same. The color of the case has nothing do to with the MotherBoard.

no my dad came home and clarafied. all the laptops that people ordered and are in a long delay have mobo issues and need to waiit for version 2 mobo.

the guy my dad talked to was Daniel

EDIT: why are you people that have their laptops already taking this as an offence. this is just for people who are still waiting in phase 9 or have been lied to by AW over the phone. i know the laptops are still good with old MOBO but AW has said to my dad that the one we are getting had mobo issues and after testing ours they got a nother and tested it and same thing so they basicly told us that all of the mobos in blue have some issues. these are not my words they are my dads and AWs

every laptop or computer for that matter has a mobo. just that it has the same make and model dosent mean that its the "SAME" every mobo preforms diffrent. not much of a diffrence but mabie not even noticable but there is one.

True so if this is the case the green and the silver have just as much of a chance of going bad as the blue why does the color of the case have anything to do with it?

i love alienware i just would love them not to sugar coat or intentinally misinform me next time. my dad called and they said it would ship out on monday or today, never happened and they knew it. im not bashing im just opening your eyes to how buisnesses work. to quote my dad "they mislead us, but they were doing it with good intentions". im just trying to make sure AW dosent do this to others.

basicly never tell an impatent person something will come early. Round down a number. lol

It sounds like your intentions are good. Most of the people here know the risks. Actually, alot of the people here waited between 4-6 weeks for their lappy, and are glad they waited. I think you will be happy as well once the wait is over.

If you back date to December, you will see the wait times. They are the same people you see now that are happy with their lappies. I will be jumping in that mix shortly.

Patience is a virtue, and will pay off in the end.

I suppose it is *possible* that a manufacturing flaw happened during a short period of time when they were producing blue laptops...therefore blue was the primary laptop affected.

However, I don't know their manufacturing process. If they manufacture the computer and then put the components into a case AFTER a customer orders... then what you are saying is pretty impossible.

If they pre-manufacture motherboards in different color cases and then add customized component upon order -- then what you are saying is very possible. They could have just had a few defective motherboards during a run of blue case laptop/motherboard combos.
