Help! Dark areas on my SZ320 screen

I have just noticed a band of dark area on my laptop. I am sure I have not damaged or applied pressure to the screen in any way.

Anyone knows whats they cause of this?

The only thing I ever did to my screen was to use some screen cleaning fluid on it.

Would the warranty help fix this issue? Thanks in advance!

If it is still under warranty, call them and send it in to get a new screen.
Just give them a copy of the picture and description of where to find it to help make your repair be done faster.

What was the outcome of this? I fully agree with Wurger in that it appears to be a genuine defect and should be replaced by Sony.
