MSI 8800 GT

looks alittle...fake to me.

I love this...I love how I can't really read the tests because their in japanese?????When you come up with some benches from Nvidia please get back to me, till then this is hocus pocus, want me to come up with some benches in Photoshop???

Your GT is a fab / Rumor and nothing from nvidia denotes this product being released.

3dmark 05/06 scores

English benchmark for ya ^

The result suggests that G92 series are more better then G80. If you got a 88GTS 320bit or 88GTX and want a better card, you'd better sold it and wait for G92

The 8800gt WILL enrage a lot of GTX and Ultra owners when it shows up in the Xtreme 3D section here at XS...that is an inevitability, just like how the HD 2950 Pro for $249 will enrage HD 2900 XT owners.

I just wanted to show that this isn't a rumor, or vaporware or a fab... It's coming.

It's just under a gtx for 249 dollars, uses 65nm, uses 84 less watts @ load than a gtx. Oct 29th.
It does look promising, although I probably won't upgrade with the GPU I currently have.
No the power saving is what I like to hear about. Yes you guys have uber powerful cards, but the amount of power needed is stupid, efficient cards are much more important to me.
Well, like I said before, those 1280x1024 scores are alright, a few k behind in 3dmark (I would preally prefer to see real game benches) ...But most people with 8800GTX/Ultra cards are not playing games @ 1280x1024.... I am sure once those resolutions hit 1600x1200 that nice GT card starts to choke.

It is a nice card & nice smaller form factor/w lower power usage... But there is a reason it's so inexpensive. It's not made for high resolution gameplay....So I think I'll stick with my Ultra because I have no intention of playing Crysis @1280x1024.

take some time and look at all the links I posted.. Should be interesting eh?
you did what they call "link overkill" lol... My finger could not take anymore after about 7 links.

I don't believe those results are accurate, And I've never heard of ENERMY territory lol. I would like to keep that link for reference once the card actually is released & we can see what that card is really capable of at higher resolutions with AA/AF off & AA/AF cranked up. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm sure we will soon find out. either way.

If it is a direct competitor to the GTX a lot of ppl are going to be irked. I have a feeling it will not be though, the price is just too low. With a drop like that they have to be compromising on performance somewhere.
Now I understand full support may not be released for GPU-Z, but some fo those entries are just plain odd compared to my card.

(this does support the GT, though (Everest Ultimate 4.20)

Here is another site overseas showing how awesome the 8800GT is... Damn ifI had those bad of scores on an Ultra I would want my money back

Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800
Gigabyte DQ-6(Intel 965)
DDR2-800 512MBx2

顯示卡規格:
GeForce 8800 GT 512MB
Force Ware167.26
Core :600MHz
RAM:1.8GHz
Shader 1.5GHz

http://myevilprocessor.blogspot.com/...-3dmark06.html

At 2.90GHz and 575/1800 I ran 3D06 and pulled 11,199. (To simulate a 8800GTX & a X6800 processor. )

At 2.90GHz and 612/2100 I ran 3D06 and pulled 11,910. (To simulate a 8800 Ultra & a X6800 processor. )

At 2.90GHz and 660/2100 I ran 3D06 and pulled 12,410. (To simulate a MSI Stock 8800 Ultra & a X6800 processor. )

At 2.90GHz and 713/1650 Shader/2150 I ran 3D06 and pulled 12,924. (To simulate a 8800 Ultra & a X6800 processor. )

You can see the last 2 test reflect a CPU limited score

At 3.76GHz and 713/1650 Shader/2150 I ran 3D06 and pulled 14,367.

*updated to reflect the drivers they were using

just wait till the new gts in nov..

this is going to be fun. this kinda hints at the rumors of the new 9800 card that is double the performance of an ultra.

Question.

How much does the Ultra cost?
How much does the GT cost?
ultra is around 600
gt is 250
gt with 256mb is 199
new gts will be around 300

I believe it will be a a good buy as long as you are not planning on running AA/AF and/or 1600x1200+ resolutions... I want this thing to come out already lol!
from a common sense point of view, plain out the numbers don't make sense. They won't release a card undercutting the old line by $300 and have it rip to hell everything else....that just is not a reasonable conclusion. As Sol has proved, those scores are total crap it appears.

I buy it if I see those scores transfer over to real world.
I don't think anyone proved these scores right or wrong, but it seems as if Nvidia is bringing out the new GTS two weeks after the GT. Replacing their old line, then BAM! new 9800, killing that old ultra and gtx by double.

This isn't some suprise, we've been telling people to wait to buy video cards for awhile, because nvidia was bringing out new stuff in NOV. Now it's here and no one believes it's here.

two GT's for the price of an ultra... tastey
post #59 of 261
I think it's complete BS that the $250 card will beat out the current $500 power houses, it's just not reasonable.

As for the 9 series, I do believe those will rip the 8 series a new one.
I think it's funny.
