Vostro WXGA vs. WXGA+

Thread Starter
I am planning to get my 2 sons matching Vostro 1500's for Xmas. Dell seems to have a good deal for $649 Core Duo, 2GB, WXGA, non-integrated graphics card, etc. They do light gaming but it is more for school/Internet use. 2 questions:

1. I am hesitant to go with TrueLife cause of the glare (again gaming and video isn't important). Any thoughts.

2. WXGA vs. WXGA+ ... there is only an option for TrueLife in WXGA+, is it worth living with the glare to get the higher resolution or is 1280x800 workable for most tasks?

Thanks for your input.

I rarely find 1280x800 to be "unworkable"; but I find that the truelife screen is in general much nicer than the non-truelife, if nothing else because of the brightness. Even if you are only browsing the internet, the added brightness of the truelife screen makes the glare such that it isn't much of a deterrant, at least for me.
Personally, I would rather have the 1440x900 screen in truelife but in the end it is a personal preference of course.
