To be truthful, garage sales are even worse than anything else. Yeah, I've sold hundreds of things via various media but I'm jaded after dealing with thousands of people who want my things for nothing...

Usually, I'll end up donating my things to various causes as it's not worth the hassle of running ads only to get crap from people about paying fair market value for quality items.

Do you ship to Nigeria?

I guess if you have a bunch of old "electronics" just sitting around and you don't want to deal with them anymore, you could get a few bucks for them. It would be just a few after you subtract the shipping costs.
You guys are brutal...

No company is going to give you high trade ins for used electronics, AW is just responding to customers requests for a trade-in setup.

They can't sell used stuff and expect a decent return, and it costs them labor to deal with this stuff on top of anything they can get for salvage.

A lot of people don't like selling used stuff, myself included, so if you've got old crap you want to get rid of, you can get a little credit towards a new system this way. I'd imagine some people would jump at the chance to get rid of some of their old stuff they don't use anymore for a few hundred off a new system.

Nobody is forcing anyone to do this, if you want more for your crap, sell it on eBay.

Ithink it is somewhat of a good deal because it costs money to dispose of electronics properly and you could even get some credit towards an AW setup.

An 18 month lease would be a nice program (with option to buy)...new Alienware every 18 months (take out the six month old upgraded VGAs, RAM etc. for the return trip ).

I know I must have some stuff here I could box up and send to Alienware for a few bucks AND get rid of the 'Clutter'. But I may need it ONE OF THESE DAZE!

Seriously though, if you have any really old things like a Coleco hand-held football game, look no further.

Well that would be your first mistake rite there!

The lease/buy of course would have to include for cross platforms - like lease a notebook, trade in for a desktop vicey vercey...Yes, I thought this all up by me self and I expect compensation!!!

There are lease programs for business, why not for consumer grade as well?

You know, there is a lease-for-life deal in Germany for autos, so that they won't have as many older vehicles on the road. Every few years, you trade in and get a new one like that *sound of snapping fingers*

Gotta get those old Alienwares off the road, at least pull over to the rite when I'm all down up in there!!!

I expect great things from Alienware/Dell this new and upcoming year.
