Hi, I'm a newbie here (in fact just registered hehe) and I would like to seek for some answers if there's any from other notebook gurus here regarding my Aspire 5570. 1. I would like to know the possibilities of upgrading my current cpu (Core Solo T1350 @ 1.86GHz, 533 Mhz FSB, 2Mb L2 cache) to a Core Duo cpu (I'm thinking of T2500 / T2600 / T2700) or even perhaps a Core 2 Duo cpu's (T5XXXs). I noticed inside the user manual stated that versions of 5570 that came with a Duo Core T2600 thus made me believe that there's a possibilities for me to throw in a Core Duo cpu inside my notebook. But then I need some assurance from other users since I'm quite new with notebooks. 2. Am I just bound with Yonah cpu type or I could also upgrade to Merom type too? 3. And btw, I'm looking for service manual for Aspire 5570 to help me getting skin deep with my notebook
Well, fyi.. I'm just planning to upgrade for the sake of exploring the possibilities to increase my notebook performance other than just upgrading RAMs and harddisk which I already did. Hope someone could help me with this. Thanks a lot! Here's some of my notebook specs generated with Everest:
