Hi Guys,
A few months back my VGN-A190 died as it got water on it while it was turned on and I was away. It will no longer turn on so I sent it in for repair and they said the motherboard was damaged beyond repair and they wanted $600-$700 for a new motherboard. Well I can get a motherboard from eBay for between $50-$200 and I'm quite handy so I know I can replace it as I have already had my 190 apart to swap a HD a while back...
My question is does anyone know if I have to look for a VGN-A190 only motherboard or would a VGN-A290 or 690 also work, since I recall they are physically the same size wise etc.
Any help on this would be much appreciated, so I can get my machine back and running...
Cheers,
