I'm new to the forum and to VAIO notebooks, so if the question i'll post is stupid or has been discussed before, I apologize.
I just bough a second hand SZ series notebook. I previously owned an Acer. Muy question concerns the stand by time the SZ can do. Once i close the lid, it'll go in standby, but after less than a day, the battery drains completely and it dies on me. Using it normally, the battery usually lasts around 3 hrs, which is normal, i guess.
The Acer I had before would go for days on stand by. Even if I had like 10% left of the battery, once it went on standby, i could simply plug the power cord in even after 2 days or so, and it'd come back from the stand by. With the Sony, that's a no go.
Can anybody help out? Is it normal that the battery drainage is so severe when on standby, or are there some settings I didn't do right?
