Hi everyone, I got a quick question. I need to burn some movies on a dual-layer dvd for my friend, but her laptop only has a regular dvd-rw(dell). my question is will her laptop able to read it?

Probably. If it can read commercially pressed movies it can read dual layer. To make sure, I'd recommend using Verbatim +R DL disks and set the booktype to DVD-ROM. ImgBurn allows you to set the book type.

be aware that the drive has to be next to new to be able to see through the center layer since its less opaque than a normal DVD. I had this problem often as theres tons of dirt being sucked through my drive by the system fan.
