Cant find a solution shut down on lid close

Hello all !,
Been looking all over for a fix to my problem of windows xp not shutting down the laptop on lid close. It had vista took it off for winxp but
there is no option to shut down ,just hibernate which I dont want. Does anybody know of a reg fix to solve this, I would like to close lid and the thing shut off, my bios does have the option becuase it worked in vista. Thanks for any and all help on this.

A simple work around is to let it Hibernate then press F8 when you start it up again. That will allow you to do a full re-boot. FWIW Hibernate is a zero power consumption mode and coming out of Hibernate is a lot quicker than re-boot.

Guess thats ok, was hoping for a reg fix or maybe a 3rd party software solution.
