Hp ZE2000 wont power on!

Took it to a shop and he charged me $100 to tell me it wont power on! Gee thanks man!Turned it off one night last week with absolutely no problems at all, the next morning nothing,no lights,nothing.He did burn my info for me so hard drive is fine.Could it be the simple thing as the power button board or as bad as the motherboard needing replaced?Nothing happens with battery out and ac connected or vice versa.Any suggestions ,I'm really bummed.Marla

try the cold reset: ac n battery out, hold down the button for 30-40secs, put battery and ac back, try again

any loose contacts in the power jack area?

This exact same thing is happening to me right now, from googling it seems like it happens to a lot of people. No solutions on this end, but I wish you luck!
