Touchpad woes

Hi everyone

I once tried a dell laptop which had inbuilt software function that automatically disabled the touch pad when the user started typing. Unfortunately I dont recall the model of that particular notebook. I desperately need to purchase one such notebook for my boss as he has great problems with his acer laptop's touchpad.

I know how to disable touchpad temporarily through its software and also tested out HP notebooks which have a touchpad lock key for this purpose but all this wont be of any help as my boss is not very comfortable with doing this everytime he starts typing.

Please do share any solutions or suggestions in this regard.

Thanks in advance

Latest Dells have disable touchpad when USB mouse is connected (1720 does at least). Don't know if that would be good enough.
