Hey , I just saw this old Post of yours. I have a M9750 with dual 7950 GO GTX and I have windows vista , but I also installed windows XP as dualboot. The only problem is that I can't seem to find all the needed XP drivers. So that's why I need your help. I noticed you mostly have Vista dirvers in your post. Could you tell me where to find a XP Master CD sort of drivers ?
thanks

reply to the drivers not working in windows 7!

i would love to inform everyone who currently owns the aurora m9700 - xx:

i have successfully installed all drivers in windows 7, including the webcam and sound! which i saw in this forum was not easy to do. but you cannot install a 64-bit OS or nothing will work. i tried ALL the 64-bit OS's, save for linux. but being that this machine is a gaming rig for windows, it is better to give it what it wants or needs. anyway, i will post a screenshot here in a minute of the device manager on my computer. its so worth it to just to install the 32-bit OS. i found out that the ONLY device that IS 64-bit is the CPU, and it sucks at that.

i have the following config for this laptop:

~ AMD Turion 64 Mobile ML-37 @ 2.01 Ghz
~ 1.5GB of DDR3200 Memory

~ Windows 7 Professional (this or ultimate was the key here)
~ a 3.9 on the rating scale (needs to be updated.. last was 5.9)

I will personally host ALL drivers for this model and other m9700-xx on filefront.com and make it easy. Who would like these drivers packed into ONE .zip file to make it easy??? i think most of you would. Screw alienware's non existent support. pff.. Most of these drivers are vista drivers but for the nvidia drivers, just go to this link to have your drivers for the mainboard and video card updated:

Note: you must use Internet Explorer 6 or above to utilize the scanner.

Here is the motherboard scanner from their site:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scann...spx?lang=en-us

and the graphics scanner:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=en-us

well thats that. and thanks to whoever supplied the original downloads for the drivers. however you need to relabel them as it was very hard to figure out what drivers went to what machine. i will fix that in the next post. thanks guys and happy computing!

For Audio you can try this driver.

What are other devices that you still need driver for?

cheers ...

a) do you have any options in BIOS it to enable HD sound? If yes, enable it.

b) un-install current audio device and driver in devices manager and try again.

cheers ...

sorry for such a delay in replies. i will make a torrent with all the minimum required drivers in a large zip file on the piratebay. that way everyone can freely access it and the drivers being torrented are legal, so there ya go. give me a few minutes to compile the data. the reply will come with links to my piratebay page. the drivers will also include the most current nvidia drivers to date for your graphics cards.
guys i also have the direct link to the alienware website. for some reason they reinstated the download page that was not available so many months ago. so here:

Click Here to visit the Official Alienware Downloads Page

and as promised my Driver download page with everything complete:

Click HERE to download my driver Pack and save time!
the updates and drivers need to be revised as some are so out of date they dont work. those updates are found at the top of the page. as i stated, my links at on my most current replies are the last and latest drivers provided by Alienware.

That pirate bay link gives a 404, try using mediafire instead, it is a bit cleaner and on the official side, if you get my drift winknudge.gif

cheers ...
