Hey everyone! im having a lot of trouble overclocking my A8Js. It is possible right?
ive installed the laptopvideo2go modified version of the 16501 Drivers and used Rivatuner 2.05 but for some reason i cant get the overclock settings to stick when i adjust them.
Ive tried using the RivaTuner2.05 and playing with the settings for hours but still the drivers wont stick. Any ideas? Has anyone gotten their 7600 or 7700 overclocked in their A8J?
I know my Dell 9400 would only be overclockable through booting into dos with a boot cd and using a bios extractor to copy the bios to a .rom file. Then boot into windows and use a program to open the .rom file and then modify it. Increase the clock and gpu settings and burn the .rom file back to a cd. Boot into dos and apply the bios to the card. If thats the only way... has anyone done it?
If anyone has and they maybe have either the bios saved on a .rom file or maybe the entire nvflash setup copied on a boot cd image? I would be so great full iwould pay you through paypal! OR i could mail you a bunch of games or something for payment.
Additionally if someone will start me off with the stock or slightly modified 7700 bios.rom file i will make a TON of .rom files each with a slight increase in speed so the 7700 stock is 450GPU and 800RAM i would go 460GPU and 810RAM and i would list it as 460V810.rom then i would do 465V815.Rom 470V820.Rom and so on till i got up to 600GPU and 950Ram (or something like that) convert it all to a CDIMAGE . ISO file and upload it so everyone could download it and burn the image to cd so they could overclock their A8JS cards much easier then before!
Please any help or even interest would be appreciated! The more posts and feedback on this subject the better. We should all have bios cds for each laptop with fast GPU's for overclocking locked cards.
