One of the nice things about the m9750, It's easy to upgrade (for a notebook). Here is a list of parts I plan on getting with in the next 6 months to up grade it.

1.CPU to a 2.0+Mghz
2.Another 7950 GO GTX
3. GeIL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300)http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820144066
4.2x HITACHI 160Gb Travelstar 7200rpm 16MB Cache Serial ATA150 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822145180

my Main plan is to run RAID0 and duel boot XP & Vista. not sure if that is possible. obtw: i plan on doing the cpu first (due to AW needs to do that upgrade).

How's your computer running so far?

vavaud,

Your upgrades will improve your platform, but be aware that user upgraded processors will void your warranty, but AW will do it for you to keep the warranty intact. All your other listed upgrades are fine.

You'll be able to enable RAID and install a dual boot setup with XP and Vista. I think I'd just get a second drive to match the first one you have and RAID that setup, save some money.

I have the GEIL ram set you have listed on your upgrade list in my 9750, and it runs great! Great performance at a great Newegg price!

Really? I've been talking to AW for a while even with my own representative, (which I got for my 5750 fiasco) and they all said that there are a few things that they will not upgrade and those are the processor, screen, and case. I've asked them numerous times and they are not willing to do it. And yes I mean if I send it in and have them do it.

It could be possible that they don't have the parts for your 5750 anymore....

I'm not talking about the 5750 I no longer have it. There is a tread on this forum that explains it in detail but i HAD a 5750 but i sent it in enough times so that they said **** it and gave me a 9750 customized to the same value. I was asking about future upgrades for the 9750 and they said that processors, cases, and screens cant be upgraded or downgraded. If someone has found a way around this please let me know!

If so, that's a new policy.

They won't swap out a case unless it's a damage issue under warranty, and i've not heard of anyone willing to pay for a screen upgrade, but they have upgraded cpu's in the past at the factory. They won't allow user cpu upgrades though, I'm very sure of that.
