hi i recently got a e1405 with gma950, windows mce
bios and drivers are up to date with latest off of dell website
the external monitor is the primary/sole display. laptop display is off
the problem i'm having is that at home when i use an external monitor standby won't work. specifically what happens is that the laptop will turn off (fans, hard drive, display all shut down), but nothing it wake it up again. also the power light stays solid instead of doing the slow blinking.
with no external monitor everything works fine.
help?
