I've read on the thread that Fujitsu have placed a factory reset image on a partioned D: drive on the 7010 - I don't have this on mine!? How do I go about resetting my machine - I have all the CDs from purchase but machine doesn't see them.

So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review. As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...

what is exactly the status of ur laptop at the moment?
. works, but u want a fresh install?
. not working? what type of errors r u having?
cheers ...
Thanks for the reply. To provide more detail...
(1) machine is in use but not running anything like it did - once super fast now pretty slow and clunky.
(2) I'd like to give the laptop to my son so figured a factory reset was the best way to go giving him a 'clean' unit to use - would also improve performance as it seems to have got slower and slower over the last two years. I've run all the usual system improvements but frankly there's been little performance change.
(3) System disks are as provide at time of purchase - without digging them out I think I've got 5 - two are marked recovery but one is clearly for Windows XP. After wiping them clean I've been able to read them but your comment on them not being for reboot is accurate I think.
(4) Re partion - I could only see a c: drive No other internal drives were shown. I used Norton Partion software to see if that would show a hidden D: with a few GB but no joy - I concluded either somehow I'd deleted it (would have thought a big warning message would have appeared to prevent this however) or that it was never there. I've now used Norton Partion to provide me with a C: (~58GB) and a G: (~2GB) drive - created G: on the basis that if I could find a downloadable factory image I save it to G: before the reset. For reference the D: drive is shown as the DVD player.
(5) Re your final question - I have no error messages
In conclusion: if there ever was a D: drive used for stroing the factory image it no longer exists - all 60GB seems to be accountable and D: is now associated with DVD player. Unless of course the image file is somehow hidden within the 58GB residing as my C: drive?
I've partioned a G: drive of 2GB in the hope I can secure the factory image - I understand its around 1.5GB
Clearly the disks I have are a combination of drivers for program reinstall as opposed to system recovery.
Hope this outlines the issue more clearly.
