Yeah, this is a good place to start bashing Dell

Anyway, should run nicely for you. My E1705 has been running for over a year strong and has been holding up to pretty much everything *except crysis which crushes anything*

I'm sure it will be a great mobile compliment to your new desktop.

No flaming.

Just that I'll have to drop around here more often. Hope she makes a good portable workhorse, if everything goes as it should I should be receiving it around Thursday.

It looks sweet Moidock....although it kinda reminds me of the m9750 because of it's dark case.....btw how much did you spend on it?

It was about $1000 including customs and all. In the US one like this goes for about $750-$850.

Well, after fiddling around with it I can say it's a very complete system so far at a nice price. I haven't run any benchmarks on it yet as I'm messing around testing installations of XP and Vista for a dual boot.

After wiping the hard drive and getting a few blue screens attempting clean installations of both OS on boot up I had to turn off a couple of hard drive features in the BIOS to get it working.

Have successfully installed both OS separately and will extract the XP and Vista SATA drivers to make a proper install. I will start the final dual booting project tonight.

Edit: Oh yeah, I have a license for Windows XP, the laptop came with Vista just in case someone thinks I'm using a friend's copy.

that's cool. What did you use? I used VISTA BOOT PRO.
