Nope, was just a copy and paste of someone else post about the specs of the machine. I wish I kind of had tho so I have something to beat up on.. Been keeping eye on CompUSA's website after missing out on the 54Xdollar MacBook deal

they are an inferior card.

1 7950 in dell matches what the 8700 x2 can do in games over 1440x900 res.
Did you even read that link? I understand under gaming with the res maxed out with settings a bit high the 7950GTX IS the king of the hill when it comes to gaming but for everything else and DX10 application the there is no buts or ifs about it.

FYI the 8700M GT in the Dell is a 512MB cards. The XPS M1730 is a pure entertainment powerhouse.

HAHA and LOL look to the right of this link

im thinking about sending mine in or getting them to send me another 7950GTX card to place in mine machine...

You can always upgrade later.

I have to say that having SLi/duel 7950's has been pretty awesome when it comes to gaming =D

I was kinda stoked about the 8700 upgrade option...for about 5 minutes, until I started doing some research on the 8700...

I'm happy I ordered when I did =P

I am going to wait until the 8800 comes out. Do you think that the m9750 will get a face lift or will there be new rigs?
hmm, only time will tell scott, I mean the 8800's may require a motherboard revision and larger power supply...or the next laptops maybe SR based...who knows =(
post #33 of 53
Says the 8800M will draw 35W+
The XPS 1730 is appealing as well, but almost 3 lb heavier without 8800's.
I can wait though.
the 8800m is rated at 35w and is mxm 3 form factor so it should be hot-swappable in the alienware m9750 without any bios updates or other modifications. but the cards will each cost $500+ at a bare minimum and be on backorder due to the demand.
hmm, I haven't seen nor read any info on a 8800m...anyone care to post a linkage? (please no inquirer =P)
