hello

Thread Starter
I am a new user and I want to put up a trade in the sell/buy forum but it won't let me. What are the requirements you need to post in that section?

Thanks

Because of problems we had in the past with spammers, members are now required to have at least 25 posts to be able to post in the For Sale/Wanted section.

which honestly doesnt make much sense, considering i could rack up 50 posts in 1 day in general alone

oh well if they think it will detour scamers and what not

which is why we're considering adding a membership length requirement as well. oh, and it's "deter scammers", not "detour scamers"

Let me clarify: you need 25 "quality posts"- in other words, you need to add something to the forum before you can post in the For Sale/Wanted section- it's intended as a privilege for forum members, not a general marketplace. Posting several obvious or useless comments in rapid succession to get up to 25 posts just makes me have to go through and delete them all (like I just did) and puts you at risk for being banned if you do it again.

We're glad to have new forum members here: people who have questions or helpful or interesting information are welcome, as well as anyone who wants to discuss notebook computers in general or a specific brand or model. However, if the only reason you're posting here is so you can sell something, then frankly, we'd prefer you just sold your stuff on ebay.

im all for it, i dont like when n00bs who havent been members but for a few months come selling stuff and we have to keep asking the same question "post a pic with your tag on paper next to said item"

i honestly think that [H] had a good policy........

1) paid for e-mail addy (through your isp)
2) ebay or heatware, starter account if need be
3) see 1
